Hi all,
I am designing my outdoor layout. I want to run battery R/C locomotives.
1. How do I remotely control my switches?
2. What products do I need that will allow me to control my locomotives and my switches at the same time?
3. Am I correct that I need a power supply to power the switches?
4. What do I need to receive the signal from the controller that in turn will through a switch? |

Well Ken
No one else has jumped in here so I will answer your questions as I see them in my mind.
1. How do I remotely control my switches?
I would think since you are running Battery power (no power on the track)
That you would have to power your switches with some sort of power supply.
Not sure which power supply would work for you, but you would also have to find some sort of switch to activate the track switch drive.
2. What products do I need that will allow me to control my locomotives and my switches at the same time?
The new DRC300 comes to mind for loco's. For switches back to N0.1 --there may be some Massoth add on to help with the switches but just guessing.
3. Am I correct that I need a power supply to power the switches?
I would say yes to this question.
The switches are electric so some sort of power supply would be needed.
4. What do I need to receive the signal from the controller that in turn will through a switch?
This I am not sure of.
Please note I am just trying to help you some what with my limited knoledge and to perhaps get others to help answer your questions in a more detailed manor.
Regards
