| I am curious to learn about the creative functions (servos, lights, etc.) people have enabled in their locos and rolling stock using Massoth decoders. I know the decoders offer many outputs and options for enabling creative functions-- anyone care to share some of the unusual and useful things they have enabled? Photos would be great as well if you have them. Thanks! |

I'm not sure this qualifies as 'creative' use, but here is a picture of a RhB signal light I made using an 8FL decoder to run all the LED's. I control the light combinations with my Navigator.

Hello all,
I thought I would show a few pictures of my latest project: I used an 8FL to control a servo, which opens/closes the gate on my LGB RhB hopper car. I will use it for ballasting track and transferring gravel using my conveyor system. I built the voltage reducer circuit shown in the 8FL manual, which you see see with the 8FL.
Here is a video showing it in a test trial:

Power pickup is by LGB ball bearing wheelsets.
